Social Media Leadership

I read this artifact by Dave Snowden with interest.

Do you need top down stimulation to have bottom up interaction? There are lots of bottom up and lateral social network interactions without any stimulation happening in the social media. Millions of educators and learners are already experiencing such interactions in various forms. Would this be caused by the intrinsic motivation of educators and learners to lead the changes and transformation, at least at a personal level in pursuit of lifelong learning? This could bring innovation in education and learning with technology and media to the forefront, bridging the gap which often exists between traditional teaching and innovative learning (PLE). Is that social media leadership? Leadership that inspires, influences and informs changes in social media.
