Transformative learning
How important is rational critical reflection in learning (transformative learning in particular)?
It involves perspective transformation – psychological, convictional & behavioural.
3 phases – critical reflection, reflective discourse, & action. I seem to find most useful learning have undergone such phases, whether in blogs & forums, or in learning networks, where “deep learning” are evidenced, with an emergence of new knowledge.
1. Is meaning constructed from knowledge under such learning?
2. What is the role of teacher/learner in transformative learning?
3. Is this model of transformative learning applicable to connectivist based learning (MOOC – PLENK2010)?
