#Change11 #CCK12 Opportunities of learning – participation in different networks

How could kids leverage the learning opportunities afforded by the different spaces, in their formal and informal learning?

These kids will become the pillars of society.  What are the implications of social media and new and emerging technology on formal education?

What sort of media literacies, social skills, and cognitive abilities are required for these kids to be successful in their pursue of future education or work?

  3. I was doing alright until the Pearson Education logo popped up at the end of the video. This is about big education and corporate interests trying to leverage the power of engagement between young people unto another market niche and intrude on conversations of the next generation. It might be that young people don’t want “approval”, “understanding” or “guidance” from a generation that’s leaving the world in a terrible mess. We did things outside school when I was a kid because they were either not allowed, provoked punishment or were smothered by well-meaning adults.

If all we want is for education to make the world safe from change, this is how we’d market it.
